The Addams Family
Music and Lyrics by Andrew Lippa, Book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice.
Directed by Judith Jackson.
Everyone's favourite kooky family took to the stage for Halloween.
The show is based on The Addams Family characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel gag cartoons. Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle Fester, Grandma and their many ancestors all popped along to entertain the audiences of Chingford.
Dressing up with lots of make-up is always fun too!

NODA review highlights
This was a particularly well dressed show. I especially liked the all-grey costumes which differentiated the ancestors from the ‘real’ people in the story.

This show was well cast throughout. With a shortage of men the characters of Lurch and Fester worked well being female, and each actor adapted to that swap very ably.

Your ensemble were fully supportive throughout. With their own individual characters they added greatly to the production. They sang and danced well and moved with pace and assuredness (even in the dark) – well done to you all.
This show is basically a love story – albeit heavily disguised – and it was delightful to watch. You had a very appreciative audience on Friday who were entertained every bit as much as we were.
